Mini TOPSHOP & BOOTS Haul

It happened, again. I went out for a trip to town with my friend to get my mum a birthday present and I ended spending a little more than intended on myself. Its not even been that long since i did a haul post which had rather a lot in either, so i don't really have any excuse for this. Im not sorry though.

Lately I've been an absolute sucker for all things jewellery related and when i saw this set of three midi rings in Primark for only £1.50 i had to pick them up. They all have such pretty designs and don't look 'cheap' like some other Primark jewellery can. They fit so snugly on the fingers too so you don't have to worry about one of them coming off. Unlike other rings I've have tried, these haven't left the green residue on my fingers which you tend to get with cheaper jewellery, result!

I next popped into Topshop and found this gorgeous ring for £7.50. It was a little more expensive than the others i bought, but it definitely doesn't feel cheap and is well worth the price. I wear it either on my middle finger or my thumb and it compliments the other rings i bought beautifully.

The second thing i bought in Topshop was the Matte Nails Nail Polish in Two Timing for £6.00. I absolutely fell in love with the colour and thought it would be perfect for spring and summer so the price didn't really bother me. So excited to use this!

I next ventured into Boots and if you don't know, I'm not sure how you wouldn't know, they have the massive 3 for 2 sale on. I definitely seized this opportunity and picked pick up 3 of Seventeens Stay Pout Lipsticks. I chose a pink, and orange and a berry colour so i would have a range of things to try from them. I bought this in 'Kiss Me Quick', 'Make An Entrance' and 'Rule Breaker' and they were £4.49 each.

A Day Out In London

I recently took a trip to London to take photographs as part of my art project and i thought it would be interesting to do a kind of  'Lifestyle-y' post that i could share with you all on here! We were so lucky with the weather as it was really bright and sunny, i just wish we could've stayed longer! I haven't heavily edited the photos yet as they'd have too larger file sizes to share on here, so apologies for any wonky, awkward photos.  Hope you enjoy some snippets of my day out! 

My day more or less started at Waterloo and following the giant landmarks, hoping we'd be able to find somewhere to eat as stupidly neither of us had eater much before we got the train. We went past the London Eye, not enough time to go on it unfortunately, and headed towards the houses of Parliament. The amount of people was amazing and i felt a little 'lost' amongst the crowds.

After wondering around a bit like headless chickens, not knowing where we were we luckily found a Subway and got food. Cue feeling like a human again! We walked rather determinedly down to Covent Gardens and after getting lost many times through all of the alleys, we managed to do a bit of shopping and i got a few lovely photos. We saw so many high end shops though and i wanted to buy everything in all of them, why am i not rich?! I only settled for a few thing from Topshop and Urban Outfitters which i am thoroughly happy with. 

We had dinner in TGI Fridays and both got Jack Daniels Burgers, they were so good, I do love me a bit of Jack Daniels sauce. Whilst we were waiting though, my friend ordered a cocktail, and i ordered one of their 'mocktails' as I'm only 16.. no ID later, a very alcohol ridden drink and i was not a happy bunny. I dont even like the taste of alcohol so it was pretty much all drank by my friend who is 18, disappointing! You can't go out for a meal without a dessert though, right?! I got the popcorn and brownie sundae, and my friend go the cookies and cream sundae. They were both so heavenly and delightful, you've redeemed yourself TGI's.

We pretty much just went back to the train station then, with a few stops for photos along the way and we got out trains home. It was such a lovely day and i can't wait to go back to London for a huge shopping spree after my birthday! The shops there are to die for! Popcorn Lip Scrub REVIEW

Im late on the bandwagon with this, i know, but it truly does deserve to have its own review on my blog  even if i am the last person to do so. I rarely ever venture into LUSH due to the overpowering smell but after finally finding someone who would join me in there we had a little mooch around and found this little gem. Cue the Popcorn Lip Scrub.

Popcorn Lip Scrub // Lush // £5.50

I didnt notice this product straight away due to the teeny packaging and being tucked right away into the corner of the shop, but I'm glad i did because its quickly become one of my most coveted items. It comes in a small glass jar with a plastic lid and it such a useful size to keep in either a bag pocket or just your makeup bag.

It comes with 25g of product, and has the flavour of salted caramel. I chose this one over the bubblegum as i found that had a very sickly sweet scent but this one was just right. You only need to apply a little bit to the lips to gain the desired effect so the product will last a long time, plus you get to eat it after too.

I really like this product because through the winter month my lips have been left really dry and cracked, and rather than biting at the bits of dead skin i use this instead and its left them feeling a lot nicer and less sore within only a few uses. The texture of this is a bit weird to get used to, and i do get some funny looks if i use this in public, but it truly is brilliant for your lips. I pair it with a Nivea Lip Butter (review) and have soft lips for the rest of the day.

A Failed Glitter Ombre.. NOTD #4

We've just about gotten far enough away from December for glitter nails to start becoming acceptable again without people thinking you've been left in the party season, so i seized this opportunity and tried my hand at my favourite glitter ombre! It didnt work as well as normal, maybe i need more practice.

This is such a simple and easy manicure to do and suits any event. I wore this for a few days at college and had nothing but compliments. The dark nails really help when you do art as well as it hides all of the pain splatters and leaves you with what looks like a perfect looking manicure even at the end of the day!

I started this by using Sally Hansens Hard As Nails as a basecoat, followed by two layers of Barry M's Nail Polish in Black. I then used a limited edition pink glitter by Barry M (similar) and applied it in an ombre effect. I learned how to do this from various tutorials on youtube and i think it has such a lovely effect that everyone can learn to do!

The Perfect Jeans

Jeans should be a staple in every girls wardrobe but sadly they often go forgotten. In fact, i didn't own a pair of jeans for the better part of 2013 but as winter rolled up i knew i had to do something about that. I'd been hunting for the perfect pair of jeans for about 3 months when i came across some in H&M. I know everybody gets all excited over the topshop jeans and believe me, i love them too, but studying in an art uni gets very messy, very quickly and i can't always justify that amount of money on a throwaway pair. 

It was sunny for once and i got so excited! Took so many photos! 

If you've ever tried to photograph black jeans before you'll understand how difficult this was.

I wondered into H&M on a whim to get out of the rain, after browsing around the jewellery and accessories section my eyes caught onto the jeans and i was immediately drawn in. Im not sure if its because H&M stores always look flawless or what, but i probably could've bought the whole of the denim section it looked that amazing. 

I came across 2 rails with 4 different coloured jeans on them. It took me a while to figure out my size but once i did i picked up the light blue pair and the black pair and headed into the changing rooms to try them on. Ive never felt a pair of jeans fit me better than these have. They weren't too big on the waist or too long, they hugged every part of me and left a really flattering appearance as the denim isn't so thin that it shows off all your lumps and bumps.. *ahem*. 

I was mainly looking for a pair of black jeans because they go with everything, and these ones definitely didn't disappoint. They aren't too baggy or tight and fit like a glove. I only photographed the black jeans because that was all i really intended to buy! 

Paying for these jeans was an absolute delight as well. They were £8.99 each! What a bargain! Now I'm not sure if these were on offer or what, because i couldn't find them online, but they're such amazing quality at such a low price, how could i resist them? 

I just love jeans because they're so easy to style up and down, and they go with almost every pair of shoes you own. Now thats pretty important considering i own some pretty unique shoes! If you haven't seen them yet then i would definitely consider going down and checking these out, they really do need to be seen to be believed. 

H&M, New Look, Boots, & Lush HAUL

This is my first haul post and i already vow never to do one again, i have had so many problems with this from the photographs to blogger constantly deleting this that I'm praying to god it doesn't happen again. That being said, i went on a little shopping spree and bought some lovely things that i thought i should share this with you, some of these things you may have already seen on this blog because this post has taken so long to do so sorry about that! 

Half my bags got battered in the rain so i had to improvise.. hate British weather!

The first shop i went into was New Look, which is slowly becoming one of my favourite places to shop, and i picked up these three tops. When i bought them i was thinking of summer and they pretty much reflect that considering how think and short they are! Never mind, wishful thinking..

The first top i bought was the Black Crochet Hem T-Shirt for £8.99. I chose this because its so casual and comfortable, yet the crochet hem really adds a lovely touch to it. It slightly cropped and the end of the hem comes up to my belly button but this just means it will be perfect for summer! 

I then spotted the Monochrome Aztec Swing Cami also for £8.99, which i currently can't find one the website. This is such a light piece with a lovely pattern and can  see it being paired really well with some chunky boots and black skinny jeans. 

The last top i bought was the Red Pixel Aztec T-Shirt for £7.99. This i had more in mind for wearing to college because its so casual but adds a little bit of a twist with the bright pattern. The zip detailing is especially lovely and makes it feel more expensive than it actually is.

Ive been lusting after a leather look jacket for a long time now and when i saw this in the sale i knew i simply had to have it. I can't find this on the website probably due to the fact this was in the sale but its such a gorgeous warm jacket and I'm so glad i finally manage to pick one up. This cost me £23.

apologies for them not being clean, as i said they're so comfy and its taken a long time to get this post done..

My next purchase was the Black Leather Chunky Sole Chelsea Boots for £41.24. Id seen these online at a higher price and when i saw them in store cheaper i had to have them. They're such comfy and warm shoes that are perfect for winter and so versatile! 

Aren't they just gorgeous?! The black is definitely more black than this post shows..

Say what you want, but this always makes jeans feel more expensive.

I ventured into H&M next, a shop i don't normally go for but seeing as it was raining it became my safe haven. I picked up these 2 pairs of jeans which i currently can't find online, for £8.99 each. What a bargain! They're so comfy and i needed some as with all this windy weather my skater skirts aren't really doing their job.. These are such good quality and I'm definitely going to purchase some more of these!

Boots haul!

I took a trip to Boots next as its my favourite place to go when its raining, hey, don't judge me. I can literally spend hours in there just looking at all the different things they have to offer.  I only really got a few things in here because id already spent far too much, but what i did i thought i would share with you!

First up is the Sure Cool Pink Anti Perspirant  for £3.15. This is something i need and the pink packaging definitely made me buy it. The scent is rather lovely too. 

Next i picked up the Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Face Mask as i pretty much just couldn't resist! It only cost £1 and all the others i had tried before were so could i simply couldn't walk past this.

Lastly i got the Simple Exfoliating Face Wipes for £3.55. Ever girl needs face wipes, but what really caught my eye was the exfoliating part.  I ender if they'll actually be any good or just gimmicky?

Lip Scrub, yum!

I don't usually venture into LUSH due to the smell, but id been looking at these two for a while and when my friend said she wanted to go in i couldn't refuse. They always have such lovely products in there and i think i need to start visiting more often.

Im probably the last blogger to buy this but there you go, the first product is the Popcorn Lip Scrub for £5.50. I preferred the smell of this over the bubblegum and mint one, and needed something for my lips so bit the bullet and went for it. This is in such a lovely pot and is perfect for carrying around with you too.

Lastly i bought the Lush Sea Spray Hair Mist for £9.95. Id been looking for something for my hair for a while now and this kept cropping up in my searches so bought this on an impulse. The smell of this is lovely and i have high hopes for this product!

Shabby Chic Photo Frames

I have a little bit of a different post for you guys today, I'm in the process of redecorating my bedroom and am going for the whole 'Shabby Chic' look because i think its just adorable. Ive been on the hunt for various different pieces to put around my room to brighten it up and make it feel more homely and came across this gorgeous photo frame from Matalan for £5.

Working in Matalan i find myself constantly browsing for things that would be perfect as gifts or for my room and they always have such cute adorable things for sale. I saw this a couple of weeks ago and was instantly drawn to it, the design is so pretty and i can just imagine how perfect it would look on my bedside table so when i last went in and managed to pick one up! £4 for a photo frame is not bad! I love work discount.. 

I love buying photo frames because it gives me an incentive to actually print out my favourite photos which so often go forgotten in folders on my laptop or my phone. This is such a gorgeous photo frame and thing it will be perfect for a photo of me and my family or boyfriend and such a steal at £5. 

Forever 21 Wishlist #2

Now i dont know about you guys but i love reading wish lists, and especially ones with something a little different. Forever 21 has long been my favourite clothes shop and recently i delved into their beauty and accessories section and couldn't be happier that i did. Ive spent countless hours looking online at all of their beautiful products and here are a few of my favourites!

Sweet Side Lunch Box Cross Body £18.90 - Ive been looking for a reasonable sized bag to carry around with me for such a long time but never find anything that would be suitable. I carry my life round with me so really need to stop, and when i saw this bag i just fell in love. The embossed polka dots are such an adorable touch and i think this bag would make such a perfect addition ready for spring. 

Arrow Print Midsize Cosmetics Bag £5.65 - My makeup bag is looking a little battered so I've been on the hunt for a new one. This black makeup bag is perfect simply for the dark colour, goodbye mascara stains! The gold arrows on the outside really just tie this bag together and make it so adorable and an absolute must have!

Sketched Circle Eyelash Curler £3.15 - Confession, I've never used an eyelash curler. I have pretty long eyelashes as it is and I've never really felt the need to, or really understand them. This is a nice little, reasonably priced pair and i think would be a good introduction into the world of eyelash curling. 

Weekday Blues Mirror Compact £3.15 - Compact mirrors always seem to go missing for me so find myself buying them all the time. The saying on this one describes me perfectly as I'm always living for the weekend. The gold metal exterior is a lovely touch too compared to my pink plastic one.

Paddle Brush (Similar) £3.15 - You can never have too many hairbrushes, right? 

Floral Rebel Tweezers £2.40 - I bought a pair of tweezers from here before and they were absolutely fabulous. Sadly after a year of use they've suddenly gone walkabouts and i can no longer find them, resulting in some pretty unruly brows. I love the design on these and the price is absolutely brilliant.
